Meg's Look: 9.10.18

Honestly, its so easy to fall into a style routine. And sure, sometimes routine is good. But for me, it usually has to do with laziness and lack of inspiration. When I got this sweater from my friends at curvycontemporary.com , I was compelled to style it in a way that was more fun than the basic, sweater / jeans / boots / sneakers combo. I wanted to have some fun with it, because fashion is fun.

I layered it over a short floppy polka dot skirt, added one of my favorite (and super old, Lane Bryant ankle boots) and belted the sweater for a cinched waist, styled-out vibe.

Sure, this wasn't groundbreaking styling. But it was an easy way for me to push myself out of my style rut (read:routine) and do something a bit more playful and fun. And that's what it is all about, right?

So if you're having a style routine / rut moment, I encourage you to take that new piece you snagged (hopefully at 50% off using code LLD50 at www.curvycontemporary.com) , and have some fun with it!

Fit Note: I am wearing the fringe sleeve sweater in a 3X.

Style Note: Don't be afraid to play with proportions, texture, and accessorizing when styling out your looks! The littlest detail can make the biggest difference.
