#OwnYourCurves: Fall Colors Forever
Listen, this crazy NY (read: unfortunate global warming) weather is wild. And while some people are looking for snow and winter wonderlands, I'm over here leaving my legs bare and rocking tunic dresses with no jackets/layers or anything! I'll take it (for now at least). I love fall colors, and even though it's winter and I should embrace my deep tones and heavy layers, it just doesn't feel right as of late so here I am.. rocking tunic dresses and whatnot in the warmest fall palette ever. Keep reading for details on this look and why you'll see a few more looks featuring #OwnYourCurves in the next few weeks :)
It's true.... it's December and I am wearing a tunic dress and boots without any warm layer, without any tights, without much of anything and I'm loving it. I recently collaborated with Full Beauty as one of their #OwnYourCurves Ambassadors and I'm having so much fun playing with looks from their expansive plus size fashion marketplace. I say marketplace because the Full Beauty website has clothing from multiple brands, options for men, even home decor - it's more than you average fashion site - so if you haven't checked them out or shopped them before I recommend it.
This olive green tunic dress by Ellos is a total 'Meaghan' item. It's lightweight, slightly oversized (I am not a bodycon gal), in a ginger-complimentary color, and versatile enough to wear in every season. I knew this would be a win-win piece and it has been - I have worn it like 12 times already! I paired the dress with a wrap from Ashley Stewart and these **WIDE CALF** Comfortview boots.
Style Tip : If you're like me and prefer clothing to skim rather then hug and be snug (you know what I'm talking about), tunic shirtdresses are MAJOR for your wardrobe.
They're chic, stylish, effortless and perfectly fall over your lumps and bumps (yes, we all have them - relaxxxxxxxx). I am wearing a size L (18-20) in this Ellos dress and it is more than roomy enough for me and my 5'7" more chunk in the middle frame. If you are taller or a bit rounder, you may want to size up.
I LOVE my legs 99% of the time .. the only time I don't love them is when I have to buy boots. Unfortunately, my big calves won't fit in standard boots so I miss out on the Over The Knee Stuart Weitzman fun. I used to get so bummed out about it until I discovered there are so many wonderful brands that have stylish, on -trend, wide calf (and I mean WIDE CALF) boots- like these! If you are a wide calf/ wide width or any combo of the two lady and are looking for great boots- don't shy away from searching the shoe section of Full Beauty, they have everything from winter boots to over the knee heeled boots (yes, the one's I am forever in on my IG and SNAP).
Be sure to stay tuned for more looks featuring Full Beauty!
